near the funky downtown Five Points area. Twenty five yards, kickboards.
Four
lanes and somewhat dilapidated. Fellow lap swimmers are far and few between
but bouncing seniors are in full swing.
Willie
is the nice but girl-crazy lifeguard. If he's busy making eyes at a freshman,
don't be afraid to ask him to tighten the lane ropes.

with a Y card, not too crowded, indoors, 6 lanes, 25 yards, kickboards, liberal
swim hours and paceclocks.
In
the suburbs, so a lot of mothers with children.
Nothing
stands out in my mind. Just another pool in another town in what will be,
one day, just another past life.
