Who or What is...
  In New York City:

  In California:
"...Poor Imus didn't even realize he wasn't being funny because he's been unfunny for years with no backlash..."

Imus, April 17th, 2007

Don Imus is one of those men who is so sexually unappealing that I cannot listen to a word he says. I keep imagining him on me, girating. Gross. Larry King is another. Watching Don Imus on Larry King's show is like standing by while my television gets raped. I have to look away. I don't care that Don Imus got fired. His audience, who I imagine to be Jerry Lewis fans, are the same douchbags who keep all the Law and Orders and CSIs on the air. Old, rich, white guys making each other laugh. Imus has been a lazy hack for years and it took "nappy-headed hos" for everyone else to notice.

The First Amendment is not in danger. Imus can say whatever he wants on Sirius or XM or a free podcast. His firing is easy math. He worked for a broadcasting corporation and sponsors pay for everything. Sponsors were pulling out, and the corporation has an obligation to its shareholders. The de Medicis are not financing art anymore. The process is deeply flawed, and it's why so many television shows and radio programs are pure shit.

Poor Imus didn't even realize he wasn't being funny because he's been unfunny for years with no backlash. Stand up comics find out immediately when a joke sucks. Imus sits in a studio, surrounded by people trying to keep their jobs. Ha, ha, that was a good one, boss. Maybe Imus was funny in the 80s, but his radar has been seriously off for a long time. Southpark airs on a CBS owned channel. It's meaner than Imus and no one is legitimately calling for Southpark to be cancelled. Because it's funny.

So, good luck Don Imus. You will probably make more money on satellite.
