The The Good News: It's near the funky downtown Five Points area. Twenty five yards, kickboards.
The Bad News: Four lanes and somewhat dilapidated. Fellow lap swimmers are far and few between but bouncing seniors are in full swing.
Details: Willie is the nice but girl-crazy lifeguard. If he's busy making eyes at a freshman, don't be afraid to ask him to tighten the lane ropes. - Pool: Shades Valley YMCA

The The Good News: Free with a Y card, not too crowded, indoors, 6 lanes, 25 yards, kickboards, liberal swim hours and paceclocks.
The Bad News: In the suburbs, so a lot of mothers with children.
Details: Nothing stands out in my mind. Just another pool in another town in what will be, one day, just another past life.
